Alex Morgan Carrasco is the co-captain of the US Women’s National Soccer Team, which has won the FIFA Women’s World Cup an astounding four times. Alex plays forward for the team, which won the 2019 World Cup. Alex graduated early from the University of California, Berkeley, where she played for the California Golden Bears. She was quickly drafted number one overall in the 2011 WPS Draft by the Western New York Flash. She was just 22 at the time, and became the youngest player on the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup. She played for the US at the 2012 Olympics, where she scored the match-winning goal of the semi-finals against Canada. That same year, she joined legendary Mia Hamm as the only American woman to score 20 goals and 20 assists in one calendar year! She was then named the US Soccer Female Athlete of the Year. Alex became co-captain of the Women’s National Team, alongside Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. She is also an author and actress. She currently plays forward for the Orlando Pride.
